I have been working professionally as a computer programmer for over a decade in a variety of professional environments. Throughout this time, I have always been designing and creating web sites. Some of these sites were for my corporate overlords, some for friends, some for local businesses or non-profits. Over the years, I have continually honed and expanded my web design and programming skills. These days I have been working extensively with WordPress - a web publishing platform originally created for bloggers which has now matured into an award winning Content Management System (CMS). Using WordPress allows me to design simple or complex sites that clients can add or update material on themselves without needing to hire a professional.
I began to work for myself in 2006 because I wanted to be more involved in the whole creative process. The creative journey of collecting abstract ideas and needs of a business or organization and shaping them into a unique online experience is an exciting and rewarding experience. Now I am able to combine the advanced web programming and database skills I learned while working for larger companies with the creative design process I so relish.
